Wild ponys grazing under the shadow of the BluestonesNestling in the rolling Preseli Hills in the Pembrokeshire National Park our traditional stone farmhouse accommodation lies in the ancient Bluestone valley and is the perfect starting point to discover Pembrokeshire and to explore West Wales. Our farmhouse has been sympathetically restored whilst retaining its original features. The famous Bluestones (Carn Menyn) which are reputed to form the inner circle of Stonehenge lie opposite us on the other side of the valley.

Our welcoming bedrooms have twin or king size beds and from your window you can enjoy the superb views of the Preseli Hills and watch the sheep and angora goats in the surrounding fields. These goats provide the smooth, lustrous mohair fleece which is spun locally and supplies the Preseli Mohair Centre which is based here at Dolau Isaf Farm. During Spring and early Summer there are of course numerous lambs and kids to be seen for your entertainment.

We have a cosy sitting room available for our guests with colour TV and a log fire for the cooler evenings together with a wide assortment of books, maps and tourist information available for your use.

All our delicious meals are freshly cooked from our own or local produce where possible and served in a separate dining room which also has a log fire to cheer you on the cooler days in winter. Come and enjoy a real farmhouse breakfast with locally baked bread, locally made sausages, home made marmalade, jam and our own free range eggs and honey.

Part of our farm is a SSSI designated area where the rare Southern Damsel Fly and Marsh Fritillary butterfly are found at certain times of the year. On our farm you can also see skylarks, snipe, buzzards and the red kite together with a large variety of the more common birds. There is a profusion of wild flowers throughout the year and if you want to explore the farm please bring your wellies. As this is a working farm various normal farming practices can be seen during the year such as horses being shod, the sheep and goats shorn, sorting and dosing of animals etc., etc.

St. David's Cathedral is within an hours drive as are the boarding points for the islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Ramsey. We have a wide variety of talented people in Pembrokeshire and a free Craft Trail booklet is available for your information as also is the Food Trail booklet which gives details of where local cheeses, wine, preserves, etc. are produced.

We are surrounded by Woolen Mills, Castles, Market Towns and Country Parks. Pembrokeshire has many unspoilt beaches a short drive from the farm which are the best in the UK with more seaside awards than any other county. This is perfect countryside for walking, cycling, birdwatching and all country pursuits or if you prefer you can just relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this secluded tranquil valley.

In sympathy with this lovely area we are a non-smoking establishment.
